This company wants to show that many people like to drink Perrier, a smart choice for consumers. In this image, the audience would be attracted by the funny image that the man on the t-shirt is drinking Perrier that is held by the man wearing the t-shirt. This image appeals to logic. The author uses summer’s hot sun as background, so the man on the t-shirt stealing a drink of Perrier shows how desirable Perrier is to thirsty people. In other words, when people are thirsty, they would think of getting a can of Perrier to drink. A big logo on the Perrier can is shown in the image, which still appeals to logic, as the image reminds the audience that Perrier can quench their thirst.

Yes, it uses the company's logo to attract the audiences. It involves the logic and emotion appeals. Audiences will pay attention on the advertisement and try to figure out how the drink goes to the mouth. It leads the audience’s attention to the name of the brand.
ReplyDeleteIt is very simple and directed.
I don't think the logo of the company can make the audience think they are trust worthy. However, I think we can tell something from that model. The model is a black man, which may let people feel the company is good because it doesn't have racial discrimination. On the other hand, through the dressing of the model, we may guess that the target audiences of this advertisement are the middle class.
ReplyDeleteThis picture same like to say Perrier exist for any thirsty people. The backgroud is very obvious. it is summer, and it is burning hot. The ad shows everyone need Perrier in hot days. The company also pay attention to race. They use a black man in the ad. It is undeniable that Africa is the hottest area in the world, so the ad uses a black man to emphasize the weather.
